I experienced Chef Smiley's cuisine for the very first time over the Ben Franklin Bridge at an afterhours affair many many years ago. What I remembered most was the broccoli marinated in garlic. It was love at first taste! I went to Urban Philly.com from then on to find out where Smiley was going next, and based my club expereiences on his catering venues. I was sort of like a food stalker. All I can say is that from his deep fried oreos to his seafood and Hennessy dinner concoctions, Chef Smileys' food will always continue to rate second to none.
